Scanning the joints of a warehouse slab that moves
A&H Construction and Developments were investigating slab joints that move under vehicle traffic on a warehouse floor in Droitwich. Corvus scanned across the joints with GPR to show what was in the concrete either side.
The brief
A&H Construction and Developments were dealing with a warehouse floor on the Berry Hill Estate in Droitwich, about 14,000 m² in all. Some of the slab joints were moving under vehicle traffic. Before deciding on a repair, they needed to see what was inside the concrete at the joints.
What we did
On 12 August 2026 we scanned across a series of joints with ground penetrating radar. We viewed each scan on the floor in augmented reality, which shows the reinforcement either side of the joint in place, on the slab, rather than on a drawing.

What happens next
The scans gave A&H a picture of the joints that were giving trouble. We have prepared a scope for a second phase covering the whole slab, so the rest of the floor can be checked the same way.
