What we scanned and why. A solar carport stands on foundations and anchors fixed into the car park. On a deck or a suspended slab, that means drilling into concrete that may carry post-tension tendons, heavy reinforcement or buried services such as lighting and drainage. For CrowdHouse Energy we scanned the canopy positions, located what was in the way and marked the clear zones on the surface, so the installer could set out and drill to the marks.
Car parks, decks and EV chargers. Multi-storey car parks are often post-tensioned, and a cut tendon on a deck is a structural problem, not a snag. Surface car parks hide ducts, cables and drainage runs. The same scan covers EV charger bases and canopy anchors.
What you get. Marks on the concrete at every position before we leave, and a report with each scan area, what was found, depth-indicative positions and the instrument used, signed by the surveyor who did the scan. A DXF comes with it where your engineer or installer needs to set out from it.
