Scanned, marked and signed off before the shop-fitters start.
Shopping centre landlords want proof that a refit will not cut a tendon or a service in a slab they own. We scan the unit, mark every fixing and core position, hand the site manager a signed site record before we leave, and give the centre's management team a report they can file. We did it this year at Brent Cross in London and at Silverburn in Glasgow.

Questions, answered.
- Can you work after the centre closes?
- Yes. Out-of-hours work is how most shopping centre refits are done, so the mall stays open. Tell us the access window and the centre's rules.
- Will the landlord accept your report?
- We work in the landlord's report format where they have one, and issue RAMS in their template. Send it with the enquiry.
- Can you mark out for the shop-fitters as well as scan?
- Yes. We mark fixings, cores and floor box positions on the slab as well as scanning it.
- Do you work for the centre or the retailer?
- Either. We agree the scope, and who receives the report, with whoever is paying.
- How much notice do you need?
- Call as soon as you have the unit and the date. We call back the same working day and tell you the earliest we can attend.
