Corvus is a UK applied-sciences company for construction. We see what's inside, on, and above your structure — then give you clear, factual data so your team can make informed decisions. GPR concrete scanning, ferro scanning, concrete testing, LiDAR, and drone surveys, delivered by one accountable team.
We scan before cutting, coring or drilling to reduce the risk of striking reinforcement, tendons, services or other embedded features.
Every method begins with a non-destructive look. We reduce the risk of strikes and unplanned damage to cables, services and structure.
Engineering-grade detail. Defensible reporting.
Calibrated equipment, qualified surveyors, and reports structured so your structural engineer can review the data quickly.
On site within days. Reports in hours.
We respond to enquiries the same working day. On-slab markings before you leave site. Reports back the next morning.
Six specialist services. One accountable team.
A complete picture of what's in, on, and above your structure — delivered by people who do this and only this.
GPR Concrete Scanning
Ground penetrating radar finds rebar, post-tension cables, conduits, and voids hidden inside concrete — before they become a problem.
Learn moreFerro Scanning
Electromagnetic scanning to map reinforcement, measure cover depth, and estimate bar diameter without touching the concrete.
Learn moreConcrete Testing
On-site non-destructive and intrusive testing methods, including rebound hammer testing, pull-out testing, core extraction, and laboratory compressive strength testing.
Learn moreLiDAR Scanning
Terrestrial and mobile LiDAR for as-built surveys, façade capture, structural monitoring, and BIM-ready point clouds.
Learn moreDrone Surveys
Drone surveys for site progress, photogrammetry, orthomosaics, aerial inspection, and volumetrics. Subject to CAA Operational Authorisation.

Multi-channel and array GPR for utility mapping, highways, airfields, archaeology, and ground investigation.

See inside concrete before you cut, drill, or core.
GPR concrete scanning uses ground penetrating radar to image the inside of a concrete structure non-destructively. We capture data on rebar layout, likely post-tension tendon positions, embedded conduits, voids, and slab thickness so your team can understand what the scan data indicates about embedded features within the scanned area before any work begins.

Cover depth, bar spacing and reinforcement layout measured with high-resolution electromagnetic scanning.
Ferro scanning is high-resolution electromagnetic detection of ferrous reinforcement. It complements GPR by giving cover depth and bar spacing readings, with bar diameter estimated where conditions allow on dense or shallow reinforcement.

Strength, integrity, durability — measured properly, reported clearly.
Concrete testing covers a family of methods used to assess strength, durability, and integrity in built concrete. We deliver non-destructive and intrusive testing methods, including rebound hammer testing, pull-out testing, core extraction, and laboratory compressive strength testing. Pull-out testing is semi-destructive and core extraction is intrusive.

Capture reality at millimetre accuracy — buildings, façades, structures.
LiDAR scanning produces a high-density 3D point cloud of any space, façade, or structure. We deliver registered, georeferenced point clouds and BIM-ready models from terrestrial and mobile platforms.

Every angle, on schedule, without scaffolding.
Drone surveys deliver fast, repeatable aerial capture: site progress, orthomosaic mapping, photogrammetric models, aerial inspection, and volumetric stockpile measurement.

Map utilities, voids, and ground conditions across whole sites.
Large-scale GPR uses multi-channel arrays to image the subsurface across a whole site in one pass. We deliver utility mapping to PAS 128, highway condition surveys, airfield investigation, archaeological reconnaissance, and ground investigation support.

Commercial Construction
Commercial construction runs on tight programmes and tighter margins. Corvus delivers the scan, test, and survey work that prevents the small misses that turn into big bills.
Residential Development
Whether the project is a single conversion or a 500-unit estate, Corvus delivers the scanning and survey work that keeps residential schemes on programme and out of trouble.
Highways & Infrastructure
Highways and infrastructure work is unforgiving. Possessions are short, services are dense, and the cost of a strike is enormous. Corvus delivers PAS 128 utility mapping and large-scale GPR that gives you a defensible plan before the first sod is turned.
Heritage & Listed Buildings
Heritage projects need answers without damage. Corvus delivers the LiDAR, GPR, and NDT work that lets architects, conservators, and engineers make informed decisions without breaking ground.
Rail
Rail work happens in narrow possession windows on safety-critical assets. Corvus delivers the scanning, surveying, and NDT work that fits inside the window and gives engineering teams the data they need to act.
Utilities
Utility networks rely on accurate subsurface data. Corvus delivers PAS 128 utility detection and large-scale GPR for water, power, gas, telecoms, and district networks.
Nuclear & Defence
Nuclear and defence environments demand vetted personnel, controlled processes, and a deliverable that holds up to audit. Corvus is built for that.
Facilities Management
Facilities teams often need fast answers on small jobs: a wall fixing, a slab penetration, a quick condition check. Corvus is built to respond at that pace without losing rigour.
Structural Engineering Consultancies
Structural engineers don't need a vendor — they need a partner who delivers the data they can defend. Corvus does the scan, test, and survey work that lets your engineers focus on the design, not the dataset.
