Which PAS 128 quality level do I need?
Most jobs need a records search plus detection, which gives QL-B1 to QL-B4 on the drawing. Specify the survey type and methodology, and the drawing shows the quality level achieved.
You do not choose the quality level: it is the result. You choose the survey type (D, C, B or A) and the methodology (M1 to M4), and the drawing shows the quality level achieved for each service.
For most excavations, specify Type D plus Type B. Add Type A where a service must be exposed and measured. See PAS 128 explained.
